Why do they classify him a violent offender? Is this a mistake?

Aishiteru asked:

My boyfriend turned himself in for violation of felony probation (I think it would be parole in other states, there’s no parole in Florida) a week ago.

He pleaded no contest to charges of theft, burglary of conveyance and pawning stolen items, which he didn’t do but was involved with the guys that did.

Anyway, on the inmate search engine for the county jail, they have him classified as a VIOLENT OFFENDER. Why is this? Is it a mistake? Even if he had done those crimes, they don’t seem violent to me.

And please, please no comments like “Why are you with him”, or anything of that nature. I would just like an answer to my question. :o )

Thanks in advance!
No, his other charges were 2 misdemeanors, neither of which were violent, I’m sure of that.
Theft, burglary, and pawning were the original charges, he was on probation and violated the probation.

Check the Penal Code in Florida. Perhaps it is listed as a violent crime. Also, it depends upon how he obtained the items. Was it by force? It seems like there is some information missing regarding the circumstances.
