Legal Question: What is his possible jail time?

I have a friend who I have known for over 10 years, and I just found out he is in jail in NC. I am very upset, and I can’t find information on anything. He and three other individuals were charged with:
conspiring to commit bank robbery, aiding and abetting attempted armed bank robbery, aiding and abetting use of a firearm during or in relation to a crime of violence, and aiding and abetting possession of a stolen firearm
He is (well, was) a US Army soldier. How long does it usually take for them to be tried in court? If found guilty, what jail time is he looking at facing for these charges? I will include a link to the website i found this out from so you may read it for yourselves.

Also, I have tried to look his name/inmate address up on an inmate search website in all NC jails and prisons, but he is not showing up. Is this because he hasn’t been convicted?
I already know it is “going to be bad.” I would just very much like to contact him in SOME way before I call his mother. I really do not want to have to call her about it. She’s going through enough right now with this.
